Tabitha Mulyampiti is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Women and Gender Studies, Makerere University. She is a graduate of Political Science (PhD University of Vienna) and Women Studies (M.A Makerere University). She has got over ten-year’ post-doctoral experience teaching at universities, conducting research and engaging in consultancy work; led teams of highly qualified individuals and is now recognized for her ability to translate research into pragmatic action. She is proficient in social and political economy analyses specific to the particular organization’s mandate, in order to support programming. Her training and facilitation skills include multistakeholder dialogues facilitation. Her specific context is largely on Gender, the Public Sector analysis and National Development Planning (NDP), which she has ably conducted in Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, and Swaziland; and has also worked with specific sectors as Agriculture, Education, Health and Energy. She is instrumental to the girl-child education strategies in Uganda and South Sudan. She is also the architect of the national Gender Policy for South Sudan, and the gender and HIV strategy for Oxfam GB in the Southern African region.

 

Tabitha has mobilized research grants from SIDA, Carnegie, NORAD, DANIDA, and OAD; offered professional services to organizations including UNFPA, CCF, CHF, UN Women, Master Card, UNDP, ADRA, Oxfam OGB, Oxfam America, and Oxfam International.
