About me:

David Mugambe Mpiima holds a BA (Social Sciences) and a Masters in Gender Studies both degrees attained from Makerere University. His MA dissertation focused on the changing gender roles and decision making for men and women using ICTs for agricultural production in Nakaseke District. He mainly teaches Social and Feminist Research at both Undergraduate and Post Graduate levels; Gender, Politics and the State as well as Gender and the Information Society at PGD Local Economic Development in the School of Women and Gender Studies, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Makerere University.  He is currently a PhD Student focusing on the gendered political economy of ICT use for agricultural information in Uganda’s rural households. He has attended Summer Schools in Bergen (Global Governance from Above and Below) and Stellenbosch (Social Research Designs and Qualitative data Analysis-Atlas ti). He is a UNDP certified Gender Auditor and a Global Gender and Economic Policy Trainer for the Civil Service College in Uganda.
