Dr David Mugambe Mpiima

Dr David Mugambe Mpiima holds a PhD (Gender Studies), MA (Gender Studies) and a BA (Social Sciences) from Makerere University. At undergraduate level, he mainly teaches Gender, Politics, Gender and Globalisation, and Gender Focused Research. At Graduate level, Dr. Mpiima teaches Gender and the Information Society, Gender Analysis of Local Economic Development and as well as a non examinable course Gender and ICT. He is widely published in Gender and politics, gender and ICT, gender-based violence. He has partnered with several CSOs in the areas of social norms, teenage motherhood and retention in schools. He is a certified ILO certified Gender Auditor, a certified Gender and Equity Budgeting Trainer and Assessor with the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Development as well as the Equal Opportunities Commission. He has participated in the development of several manuals in this area for practitioners in both Government and Civil Society.
