Call for Applications for 2 Master’s Degree ScholarshipsTenable at Makerere University, School of Women and Gender Studies

Makerere University, through the School of Women and Gender Studies, is implementing a six-year project funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) through the Norwegian Programme for Capacity Development in Higher Education and Research for Development (NORHED II). The project title is Gender and digitalization (GENDIG) across context. This project is implemented as a collaboration involving Makerere University, University of Agder in Norway and the University of Dar es Salam in Tanzania. 

The project is interested in supporting the most vulnerable students, currently registered for an MA. Gender Studies to complete their course. Are you financially challenged; a single parent; is your current job with Makerere University or civil society; are you from an indigenous marginalized community or religion, a refugee in Uganda, or do you have any form of disability? If your answer is Yes to most of these issues mentioned above, you are eligible to apply. This opportunity is open to male and female students.

Eligibility

The interested candidate should also fulfill the following requirements:

• Be a holder of a bachelor’s Degree in any disciplines.

• Currently admitted on (or have applied for an MA Gender Studies) and can be categorized as a vulnerable student.
